Travel to the highest situated mountain lodge in Sweden with our tracked Cat Ski, alternatively with a sled pulled by a snowmobile. We will travel through an astonishing mountain landscape with fantastic views. If the weather allows for it, we will stop on the way to go out and enjoy the surroundings. At the mountain lodge there will be an opportunity to try the famous Låkta Waffle, take photos and just enjoy the crisp mountain air! After the stop at the mountain lodge we will return to Björkliden. The activity suits almost everyone and no special skills are needed. It is a good way to get out and enjoy the real Scandinavian mountains.

Staying overnight at Låktatjåkko?

If you have booked accommodation at Låkatjåkko Mountain Lodge and don’t want to travel there by skis, snowshoes or snowmobile, we warmly recommend the cat ski. When making such a booking to Låkta, think of making sure that your return date is on your chosen day to leave and not the same day as the arrival date. If the cat ski is fully booked for the dates of your stay at Låkta, please contact our booking department at bokning@laplandresorts.se or +46 (0)980 – 641 00 and we will try to help.

If the cat ski is fully booked, there’s always a possibility to book a towing spot behind the cat ski. You are then towed by a “button seat” similar to the ones of a poma/button lift. Recommended equipment for towing is alpine gear.

If there’s only four people or less, the tour will be operated by snowmobile and sled. Helmets and overalls are available to lend.

Dogs are not allowed inside the Cat Ski.

Bringing sleds or other cumbersome luggage will be subject to availability.

Minimum age for towing is 12 years and helmet is mandatory.
