Experience Arctic Your Way
5 SEASONS TO VISIT
Did you know that the Arctic regions of Sweden have 5 seasons?
Well, technically we only have 4, but the late spring in the Kiruna region is called the fifth season. It’s when the days are long and filled with sunshine, the temperature warms up but the cold snow conditions still offer world class skiing. This may be the most popular season to visit, but let us show you that the rest of the year is just as magical as the spring.
The early marks of winter is when the first snow illuminates the relief of our sites to the cold and colorful skies of the arctic winter. This is the prime season to get enchanted by the Aurora, otherwise known as the nordic light. During the ski season, you can enjoy all the many outdoor activities in our mountains and the bliss of the fresh powder. The late spring is when the nature explodes and bloom, followed by the long sunny days of our summer, perfect to enjoy the hikes in the surroundings. Lastly, the fall offers myriads of colours and the first sights of the aurora once again.
You can visit us whenever it suits you.
